The Platform, In Numbers

Most hosting companies describe their platform with adjectives — blazing, turbo, unlimited. This page describes ours with numbers. These are the same limits configured on the servers; when we change the configuration, we change this page.
The stack
- Control panel: Enhance — a modern multi-server panel. You manage sites, mail, databases, DNS, FTP, cron, backups, and PHP versions yourself, from one place, without asking us.
- Web serving: OpenLiteSpeed at the edge with per-site isolation. Every account runs in its own container with its own CPU, memory, and I/O guarantees (the table below), so a noisy neighbor stays their problem, not yours.
- PHP: 8.3 by default, switchable per site from the panel.
- SSL: free Let’s Encrypt certificates, issued and renewed automatically.
- Included on every plan: SSH access, cron jobs, server-side caching, DNS editor, one-click phpMyAdmin.
- Hardware: dedicated OVHcloud servers in the United States with NVMe storage — real machines we administer, not resold cloud instances.
Per-plan limits — the actual numbers
These come from the same configuration files that provision your account. There is no “unlimited” column because unlimited doesn’t exist; there is only “limits someone won’t tell you.”

Two things worth spelling out:
- “Not metered” is not “unlimited.” We don’t count your transfer or charge overages. The Acceptable Use Policy governs abuse (e.g. running a video CDN off a shared plan), and that’s the honest way to say what every “unlimited bandwidth” host actually means.
- CPU and memory are guarantees, not caps-in-disguise. The numbers are enforced by Linux cgroups per account — they’re yours even when the server is busy.
Email that lands
Email is sent through a dedicated outbound IP address used only by Candor Host customers — its reputation isn’t shared with strangers. SPF and DKIM are configured automatically for every domain, and we monitor deliverability from the outside, continuously.
Backups
Automatic backups are included on every plan — not an upsell. Snapshots run every 12 hours and we keep 14 days of them, stored on separate backup infrastructure (a different physical server than your site). You can browse and restore them yourself from the panel, one click, without opening a ticket.
Security
- A web-application firewall running the OWASP Core Rule Set inspects traffic at the edge.
- Daily malware scanning across customer sites, with automatic quarantine of anything caught.
- Host-based intrusion detection (file-integrity monitoring, audit logging, rootkit scanning) on every server in the fleet.
- Brute-force protection on every login surface (SSH, mail, FTP, web).
- Automatic security updates on all servers.

Monitoring you can see
Our status page is public and live at status.candorhost.com — uptime checks every 60 seconds on every customer-facing service, plus synthetic browser checks that actually log into the panel and billing portal the way you do. When something breaks, you see it there, timestamped, before you have to ask us.
Uptime commitment: 99.9% monthly, with real service credits when we miss it — the math is published in the SLA.
What we deliberately don’t do
- No “unlimited” anything — see the table.
- No renewal-price jump. The rate you sign up at is the rate you renew at.
- No overselling guarantees — accounts get the resources in the table, enforced by the kernel, not by hope.
- No pay-to-open-a-ticket support tiers. Candid Support is the same for every plan.
