Refund Policy

We stand behind our service. Every new hosting plan comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. This page explains how it works and what is and isn't refundable.

The 30-day money-back guarantee

If you are not satisfied with your Candor Host hosting service for any reason within 30 days of your initial purchase, contact us and we will refund your hosting fees in full.

The guarantee applies to:

  • Any hosting plan on your first purchase.
  • Any prepaid term (monthly, annual, or multi-year) on your first purchase.

Included in the guarantee

Full refund of prepaid hosting fees for the plan you purchased, when requested within 30 days of your initial purchase.

Not included in the guarantee

The following are non-refundable at any time:

  • Domain registrations — once we register a domain with the registrar on your behalf, the registration fee has been paid to the registrar and is not refundable to us or to you. The domain itself remains yours to transfer elsewhere.
  • Paid SSL certificates purchased through us from a third-party certificate authority (Let's Encrypt certificates are free and included on every plan).
  • One-time professional services — for example, custom migration work outside the scope of our included migration service.
  • Add-on services purchased separately — for example, dedicated IP addresses, premium DNS, custom email retention, or any add-on billed as a one-time fee.
  • Renewal payments on plans past their first term. Renewal payments are refundable only if we make a material breach of the Terms of Service that we fail to cure within a reasonable time.

How to request a refund

Email hello@candorhost.com from the email address on your Candor Host account. Include your account number or invoice number. That's it — you don't need a reason, though we appreciate feedback so we can improve.

We will process refunds within 5 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Depending on your bank, funds may take an additional 3-10 business days to appear on your statement.

After the 30-day window

If you cancel more than 30 days into your service:

  • Monthly plans: service continues through the end of the current billing period. No refund is issued for the current or any past period.
  • Annual or multi-year plans: service continues through the end of the current billing period. No refund is issued for prepaid amounts on the current or past terms.

The consumer-protection laws of your jurisdiction may give you additional rights. This policy does not limit those rights.

If we terminate your account

If we terminate your account for a violation of our Acceptable Use Policy or Terms of Service, you are not entitled to a refund for the remaining prepaid term, except as required by law.

If we terminate your account for any reason other than an AUP or Terms violation, we will refund prepaid fees for the unused portion of your term.

Chargebacks

If you dispute a Candor Host charge with your card issuer or bank without first contacting us, we may suspend your account pending resolution of the dispute. Please email us first — refunds are usually simpler and faster than chargebacks.
